Exams, rough seas, and walking sideways. It's just another day at sea!

Since last night, the swells have been angrily hitting the ship as we
float up and down trying to fight the Aghula current from South Africa
to Mauritius! The swells are about 6 meters high so it's about 18 feet.
You can see all sky through the window one second and the next second is
complete ocean. You hear the ship crashing down after going over a huge
swell and the water from the wave hitting the bow outside the ship's
side windows. Luckily we were heading in the direction of cyclones, but
they are moving away from us. The swells could still be rough from the
cyclones, but the captain thinks today will be the worst of the rough
seas before Mauritius. The entire shipboard community that is onboard
for school had to take a Global Studies exam today throughout the ship.
I was one of the "lucky" ones whose test was being proctored at the very
front of the ship which is the rockiest of the entire ship. I didn't
feel sick at all, but the crashing of the swells and the shaking of the
ceiling was a little distracting. Especially when you would shake in
your seat. Btw, taking a scan-tron test in those conditions was not
easy! The captain also said that the seas could get as large as 7 or 8
meters which is about 21-25 feet! Hopefully these swells will die down
enough before my next exam! >_<
